SASASAAS AUDIOVISUAL RESOURCES: Guidelines For Use

Items from the SASASAAS collection are available for FREE USE by SASASAAS members only.

TO SCHEDULE: Write or phone Belinda Talbert.

TO RETURN ITEMS: See address above

VERIFY BOOKINGS: When you receive confirmation of your order check your original requested dates and notify us if there is any discrepancy.

RETURN ITEMS: Use the return labels found in the shipping carton, or if the label is missing, use any appropriate address label to return the item to the above address. Each institution is expected to pay return postage.

INSURE ITEMS: Users are responsible for INSURING each item for the maximum allowable amount for return mailing. There is no other insurance coverage for these items and institutions will be held responsible for uninsured items lost in mailing.

PUNCTUALITY: All bookings are made on the premise that items will be returned promptly. The title should be mailed back NO LATER than the day following the day of the scheduled showing. Otherwise the institution which has scheduled the item next may not be able to get it on time. The mail service is often unpredictable. Please do not inconvenience your associates in other colleges.

SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS: In the event that you find it desirable to keep an item beyond the return date, contact the Films Manager who is authorized to extend your time on it provided it can be done without disrupting the schedule of others. DO NOT make private arrangements with associates in neighboring colleges WITHOUT FIRST clearing it with the film library.

REWIND AND DAMAGE: If a film is borrowed, please rewind it on its original reel before returning it. Notify us immediately if there are breaks or other damages to an item. For this purpose use the card enclosed in the packing case and mail it directly to the above address. Unless otherwise notified we will have to assume that the item is returned to us in good shape and ready for the next person to show. Again, failure to comply with these particulars will only serve to inconvenience others.

CARE OF ITEMS: Please use projectors or players that are in good repair and are free of dirt and other deposits that might scratch or damage the items.

CAUTION: It is important that we observe our own guidelines in order to minimize the chance of loss through mishandling or damage through ignorance, oversight, or faulty equipment.
